Deep in America's wilderness, there's a breed of men like no other - living off the land, battling ruthless predators and colliding with the power of nature in an enduring struggle to survive. Follow their real-life challenges as they use time-honored skills, true grit and sheer cunning to live a life of total freedom in some of the most unforgiving environments on Earth. The wild is calling but only a few have the courage to answer in season three of HISTORY'S Mountain Men premiering Sunday, June 1 at 9 PM ET/PT.

From Alaska's Northern Range to Appalachia's Blue Ridge Mountains these Mountain Men are the last of their kind. This season, Marty, Tom, Eustace, Rich, Charlie and new Mountain Man, Kyle, confront the most brutal winter to descend on America in decades. And as they carve their lives from the untamed ranges of America, record subzero temperatures and powerful whiteouts bring them to the edge of survival. Predators are a constant threat but the meanest beast in the wild is Mother Nature herself, and this year she's fixing to give them hell. They'll have to stay one step ahead of the deadly cold while braving the extremes of a remote wilderness where a single misstep can send you into the bone-breaking jaws of a grizzly bear or leave you Stranded with no help for miles around.

Tom Oar (Montana) -In the heart of Montana's secluded Yaak River Valley, Tom Oar has made a home for himself and his wife Nancy, far removed from The Hustle of modern life. He survives by trapping, harvesting his own meat and tanning the hides. Every day in this rugged mountainscape presents a new challenge and this season's deep freeze tests Tom's will as never before while he makes a defiant return to the only place he can ever call home.

Marty Meierotto (Alaska) -One hundred miles south of the Arctic Circle in the harsh Alaskan wilderness, Marty Meierotto spends the sub-zero winters living in a primitive one-room cabin. During the brief daylight hours, he sets his trapline and must catch everything from minks to wolverines in order to support his family back home. This season Marty faces a Crisis that forces him deeper into the wild, taking a gamble in the windswept highlands of Alaska's Revelation Mountains where he'll start from scratch with only his snowshoes and his determination.

Eustace Conway (North Carolina) - Deep in North Carolina's majestic Blue Ridge Mountains lives Eustace Conway who has dedicated his life to the home he calls Turtle Island. Here he lives self-sufficiently, using ancient survival methods and primitive tools to fend off a relentless series of challenges to his way of life. Eustace contends with poachers, scavengers, illness, bad weather and the countless other struggles inherent to the life of a mountain man. This season, Eustace finally gets out of debt and is determined to find a more permanent source of income to protect his land for the long-term and turns to Turtle Island's greatest asset: lumber.

Rich Lewis (Montana) - At the foot of Montana's Ruby Mountains, we find Rich Lewis, the rule-breaking mountain man. Rich, along with his pack of hunting dogs, have spent decades stalking and hunting mountain Lions that cause havoc on livestock and are known to attack and kill humans. This season finds Rich forced to retire his lead dog, leaving him with the difficult task of choosing a new leader from among his youngest hounds.

Charlie Tucker (Maine) - Charlie Tucker's first full season living as a mountain man in Maine's vast Great North Woods was plagued with obstacles, including an injury that nearly sidelined him for good. But Charlie is still determined to survive and live his dream, and this year he looks to downsize his operation and get back to basics. Partnering up with his friend Jim, Charlie becomes the muscle as they take over new territory that could be the key to his future in the mountains.

Kyle Bell (New Mexico) - In New Mexico's Cimarron Valley, where winters are Vicious and unrelenting, pelting the mesas and canyons with 44 inches of annual snowfall and bone-chilling winds of up to 30 miles an hour, life is just the way Kyle Bell likes it. Kyle spent his youth on the rodeo circuit wrangling bulls and buckin' broncos, but after 20 years of broken Bones and hoof-shaped bruises, he decide to live off the land instead. Kyle, a hunter and outfitter by trade, is trying to pass down his way of life to his 10-year-old son, Ben, who's ready to learn the skills he'll need to live off the land. Together the Bell men will work to survive one of the most brutal winters they've seen yet as Kyle prepares his son to carry on the mountain man tradition.
