History Launches Major New Experiential Brand Initiatives,  HISTORYTalks, HISTORYSpeaks and HISTORYCon  Image

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the launch of HISTORY, the network today announces three new major experiential ventures that will heighten the brand experience and bring history to life for fans across America. HISTORYTalks, HISTORYSpeaks and HISTORYCon are immersive brand-defining organic extensions of History's world-class programming that will reach our audiences in exciting new ways. The announcement was made by Paul Buccieri, President of A+E Network Group.

"Since 1995, HISTORY has been one of the most consistent and powerful brands in media presenting stories from our collective past in compelling, entertaining and groundbreaking ways to all generations," stated Paul Buccieri, President A+E Networks Group. "Our goal has always been to make the topics of history accessible to fans everywhere. As we celebrate our legacy and embark on our next chapter, we are capitalizing on what we do best by expanding the brand with unique, engaging and immersive consumer experiences that will super-serve the insatiable appetites of history enthusiasts across the country and around the world."

Launching in the Fall of 2019, HISTORYTalks will be a travelling speaker series focused on newsworthy subjects and key historical events. Each "Talk" will be a curated one-day event with presentations and panels featuring experts, authors, historians, and political figures in a lively and informative conversation with the audience. HISTORYTalks will be a destination for IN DEPTH discussion, exchange of ideas and the celebration of landmark milestones that define the American experience.

Podcasting is a huge growth opportunity for HISTORY, which already has had great success with this platform through exclusive podcasts for the hit scripted series "Project Blue Book," "Knightfall" and "Vikings." Now, HISTORY is poised to expand its presence within the podcasting community with the launch of HISTORYSpeaks in the first quarter of 2020. HISTORYSpeaks will feature podcast companions to hit series and specials, including HISTORYTalks events here and around the world, conversations with the network's on-screen talent, exclusive original content, deeper dives into specific historical topics, behind-the-scenes anecdotes, extended interviews, and much more. vIn addition, in April 2020, the inaugural domestic HISTORYCon will take place at the Pasadena, CA Convention Center. For three days, history enthusiasts will have the unique opportunity to experience history as never before - up close and personal. Attendees will be able to learn about, relive and honor our country's cultural, societal and political milestones. Featuring talent from acclaimed HISTORY series, world-renowned historians and authors, interactive exhibits, treasured artifacts, as well as virtual reality experiences and an expansive marketplace, HISTORYCon will appeal to the entire family.

As HISTORY enters its 25th anniversary of groundbreaking programming that engages and grows its upscale audience, HISTORYTalks, HISTORYSpeaks and HISTORYCon will be cornerstone initiatives that help the brand to develop a closer relationship with viewers.
