A new electronic hip-hop song, "Sober," from Travis Royce (http://www.TravisRoyce.com), an award-winning songwriter, producer, and recording artist, was released Jan. 12 by the German record label Suicide Robot, a division of Plasmapool Records.

Royce, who was named Best Electronica Artist of 2014 by Artists in Music Awards, on Jan. 12 also released a music video featuring "Sober"-the third of three music videos released recently by Royce.

On Jan. 19, Raise Recordings, another division of Plasmapool Records, will release Royce's electronic hip hop song, "Come Right Down," and Royce will release a comedy music video featuring the song.

In 2013, Royce, of Los Angeles, Calif., was a TOP FIVE finalist in three Artist in Music Awards categories-Best Electronica Artist, Best Urban Hip-Hop Artist, and Artist of the Year.

"Travis Royce brings a new flare to hip hop and electronic music, bridging together the two unique worlds into one cohesive and catchy style of composition. This music will surely stick in your head," says Stirling Myles, community ambassador for Marmoset Music, which markets Royce's music for film, TV, videos and other uses.

Devon Jackson, a writer whose work has appeared in Entertainment Weekly, The Village Voice, Rolling Stone and Details, described Royce's music as "gooey hypnotic eletronica-driven hip-hop from a wunderkind-savant," adding that Royce is "as talented as Eminem, for sure."

Royce started creating original music and music videos at the age of 12 in his hometown of Portland, Oregon, beginning with sample-based hip-hop and moving into electronic music.

"I write it, produce it, mix it and (usually) perform it, so if you don't like it, there is really no one to blame but me," he says.

Plasmapool, based in Karlsruhe, Germany, has had 78 of its artists make the charts, according to Resident Advisor, an online magazine that covers Electronic and EDM music.
