According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hillary Clinton, Viola Davis, and Ronan Farrow will headline the 9th Women in the World Summit in New York.
The event, which will be held at Lincoln Center from April 12-14, will also feature gun control activist and Marjory Stoneman Douglas student Delaney Tarr, Nobel laureate Leymah Gbowee, restaurant workers' activist Saru Jayaraman, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, the American Ballet Theatre's Misty Copeland, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, television presenter and actress Jameela Jamil and MSNBC's Joy-Ann Reid, Women in the World and Tina Brown Live Media announced Thursday.
This year's conference will feature discussions about the #MeToo movement, pay equity, trends in human trafficking, the relationship between intimate relationships and digital devices and how women are "transforming" the restaurant industry. Hillary Clinton in particular is set to lead a debate with journalists from Russia, Turkey, the Philippines and China to discuss "the RISE of Strong Men," a press release stated.
Since its founding in 2010, Women in the World has been staging global live events, of which the Women in the World Summit in New York is the flagship.
