The City of Henderson and Chester County, in association with the Henderson Arts Commission, will host an outdoor showing of the classic "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" on the Chester County Courthouse Lawn Saturday, April 21 at 7 p.m. Area businesses also sponsoring the event include: Teague-Noles 45 Auto Mart, Jones Contractors, Inc., Arvin Sango, E&T Contracting, FirstBank, Freed-Hardeman University and Bramblett Group.
Children of all ages are encouraged to join Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe on an unforgettable interactive journey as Brad and Kristi Montague of Montague Workshop bring Ronald Dahl's beloved tale to life. The Montagues encourage children to come in costume with their families ready to sing along, act along and laugh along to the classic 1971 Gene Wilder musical film. Admission to the movie is free, but interactive goody bags that include candy and props will be available for $1 at the event, while supplies last. In case of inclement weather, the show will still go on in Loyd Auditorium on campus at Freed-Hardeman University. To learn more about the event, visit http://bit.ly/hacmovienight.
In addition to the interactive movie-viewing experience, 2018 events include the Father's Day Festival featuring country music artist Darryl Worley, Summer Saturday Arts Academy in June and July, children's theatre experience in June and a performance of the Tony Award-winning smash-hit musical, "Million Dollar Quartet," Sept. 27.
