According to Deadline.com, Helen Hunt's RIDE has found its financing and cast. Hunt wrote the script and will star in, produce and direct the film as well.

Hunt will lead a cast featuring Luke Wilson, David Zayas, Mike White, Richard Kind, Leonor Varela, Elizabeth Jayne and Brenton Thwaites.
Thwaites will play an NYU student who moves from New York to California, away from his mother (Hunt), a magazine editor who discovers her son is ditching school to surf and follows him to the West Coast. She meets a surf instructor (Wilson) along the way who changes her life.
RIDE will begin production in Los Angeles on August 5 and is set to move filming to New York in October.
Hunt's upcoming projects include Decoding Annie Parker, Relative Insanity, Joe's Mountain and Serpent Girl. Her past big screen credits include The Sessions, 2007's Then She Found Me, which she also directed, What Women Want, Cast Away, Pay It Forward and more. Hunt has appeared on Broadway in Life (x) 3 and Our Town.
