Hayden Summerall, Brooke Butler, Chiara D'Ambrosio, & More Join the Cast of SAGE ALEXANDER: THE DARK REALM Web Series

Five more talented teen stars join Madison Hu (Bizaardvark, Best Friends Whenever) in Innersight Entertainment's upcoming original web series "Sage Alexander: The Dark Realm."

Hayden Summerall (Sneaky Pete, Chicken Girls) is set to play the title character, a reluctant teen hero training in his supernatural gifts with his guardian angel played by Brooke Butler (Chicken Girls).

Based on Steve Copling's well-received Sage Alexander YA book series published by Brown Books, "Sage Alexander: The Dark Realm" is a five-chapter prequel story that reveals the deep mythology woven throughout the book series. The web series is set to air weekly on TigerBeat TV's Youtube channel beginning July 14, 2018.

Season 1 of the series will transition back and forth between Sage's training in modern times and a group of five young warriors (played by Hu, Stevonte Hart, Ashlea Rae, Aidan Langford, and Dodge Prince) also in training 200 years earlier.

What begins as a simple memory-sharing exercise for Sage Alexander turns into a life-altering adventure with the future - and past - on the line. Meanwhile, five young warriors-in-training practically stumble into the Dark Realm, the DOMINION of the Seven Princes of Hell, and soon realize leaving isn't as simple as backtracking their steps. Once inside this ever-shifting structure that feeds off their growing terror, their only hope for survival rests in the hands of a missing Council member thought to be long dead played by Danny Trejo (Machete, Sons of Anarchy). But he's not the only one discovered within the Dark Realm. Three young prisoners of evil beasts are also found there, in desperate need of rescue. Played by BIANCA and Chiara D'Ambrosio (The Young and the Restless, See Dad Run) and Ashlyn Casalegno (Logan).

Disney Star Hu plays Chelsea Nevins, a young warrior gifted with sight.

"Chelsea was such a joy to play and I had a blast playing every situation as such a multidimensional and interesting character," Hu recounted. "Working on 'Sage Alexander' was an incredible joy! I met so many great people and will continue to carry these lifelong bonds with me in life."
