The Fosters' Hayden Byerly will reprise his role as Jude in the FreeForm spinoff Good Trouble, according to Deadline.
Byerly played Jude in all five seasons of the The Fosters. There have been no details released about the episode storyline in which Byerly will appear. Good Trouble's producers had hinted that we likely would see Jude and also Brandon the most in the spinoff.
Good Trouble will follow Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) as they embark on the next phase of their lives in Los Angeles. The series is set to premiere in 2019.
The Fosters followed the Foster family: lesbian couple Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum), who have built a close-knit, loving family with Brandon (David Lambert), Stef's biological son from a previous marriage; their adopted twins, Mariana (Ramirez) and Jesus (Noah Centineo); and adopted siblings Jude (Byerly) and his half-sister, Callie (Mitchell).
Good Trouble was created by Joanna Johnson, Peter Paige and Bradley Bredeweg, who will all serve as showrunners. Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians) is directing and executive producing the first episode.
