'Harry Potter' Drives ABC Family to #1 Cable Network in Prime in Adults 18-34

Powered by films from the "Harry Potter" franchise, specifically Sunday's airing of "Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix," along with hit original series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," "Make It or Break It," "Huge" and a series-high performance by "Pretty Little Liars," ABC Family ranked as cable's No. 1 network in Prime in Women 18-49 (561,000), Adults 18-34 (497,000), Females 18-34 (334,000), Viewers 12-34 (813,000) and Females 12-34 (575,000), and No. 2 in Female Teens (242,000), behind only the Disney Channel.

Furthermore ABC Family enjoyed its most-watched week in Prime this year to date in Total Viewers (1.8 million), Adults 18-49 (877,000), Women 18-49, key 18-34 demos and Viewers 12-34. In addition, this week became ABC Family's most-watched week in Prime in Viewers 12-34 in almost a year and a half - since the week of 1/12/09, ranking among the top 5 weeks in the network's history in Adults 18-34, Viewers 12-34 and Females 12-34. In fact, this was ABC Family's best non-December week ever in Adults 18-34.

ABC Family posted double-digit percent gains over the prior week across all key categories: by 38% in Total Viewers (1.8 million vs. 1.3 million), by 58% in Adults 18-34 (497,000 vs. 314,000), by 60% in Adults 18-49 (877,000 vs. 548,000) and by 44% in Viewers 12-34 (813,000 vs. 564,000).

· Monday's all-new "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" qualified as the week's No. 1 TV telecast in Females 12-34 (1.6 million/3.4 rating), followed by Tuesday's "Pretty Little Liars" (1.5 million/3.4 rating).

· In Females Teens, ABC Family claimed 2 of the week's top 3 telecasts on TV with "Pretty Little Liars" (No. 1 - 802,000/6.7 rating) and "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" (No. 3 - 739,000/6.1 rating).

· Monday's "Secret Life" also ranked as the week's No. 1 scripted cable show in Women 18-34 (843,000/2.5 rating) and Women 18-49 (1.2 million/1.8 rating).

· Sunday's airing of "Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix" (8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) stood as basic cable's No. 1 movie of the week in Adults 18-34 (770,000/1.1 rating), Women 18-34 (467,000/1.4 rating), Adults 18-49 (1.5 million/1.1 rating), Women 18-49 (871,000/1.3 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (1.1 million/1.2 rating).

· Sunday's airings of "Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix" (8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) and "Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire" (4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) and Saturday's "Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire" (7:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.) accounted for the week's top 3 basic cable movies in both Women 18-49 and Women 18-34.
