Frank Agrama, Chairman and CEO of Harmony Gold, stated today that the company is delighted to announce the date of April 28, 2013 for the world premiere showing of its newest feature film Stepping High, a Harmony Gold and Cinemotion 21 st Production. The film stars Palmer Davis (CSI Las Vegas, Castle), Amir Korangy (Scandal, NCIS Los Angeles), Mary Carrig (Criminal Minds, Young & The Restless) and Kent Boyd (So You Think you Can Dance, Shake It Up). The choreographer for this dance extravaganza is Katee Shean (So You Think You Can Dance, Glee). Frank Agrama is executive producer; Henri Charr is director, with Jess Mancilla and Charr serving as producers. The screening will take place at 5:30pm at the Harmony Gold Preview House in Los Angeles.

"Stepping High marks the sixth film that we have produced with Cinemotion 21 st Production and the talented team of Henri Charr and Jess Mancilla," commented Agrama. "We are thrilled to be hosting the world premiere at our Harmony Gold Preview House and I am confident that this journey of love, inspiration and social change will resonate with dance and music fans around the world."

Stepping High (100 minutes) follows the story of Sima (Palmer Davis), a stunning beauty who has failed to fulfill her dreams as a professional dancer. She is on the wrong side of thirty, being aged out, and is forced to take a job as a dance teacher at a conservative local high school. Much to her surprise, it sparks her love for choreography while working with a diverse group of teens, both in the classroom and outside it. Sima becomes re-energized. She opens the kids' eyes and minds to dance as a powerful tool for social change.

The problem is that not everyone likes her progressive ideas. When she introduces them to her belly-ballroom style, tensions escalate. Race, class, culture, teen romance, coupled with Sima's personal failures in her relationship with her parents and her boyfriend, intersect in this high-energy film for an emotional explosion.
