Hallmark Channel's ratings momentum continues with cable's highest-rated movie of the week for the third straight week! The Saturday, November 17th premiere of original movie, "Matchmaker Santa", delivered a 3.0 household rating, attracting more than 4.8 million unduplicated viewers and becoming Hallmark Channel's highest-rated original movie and highest-rated telecast of the year among households, W25-54, A25-54, and total viewers. The Sunday, November 18th debut of Hallmark Channel original, "It's Christmas, Carol!", garnered a 2.2 household rating with nearly 4.0 million unduplicated viewers and is third highest-rated original movie of the year among households. The first full week of Hallmark Channel's "Countdown to Christmas" holiday programming (11/12-11/18/12, Mon-Sun, 6am-6am), seen by 21.4 million unduplicated viewers, was the network's highest week of 2012-to-date among total day households, total day W25-54, prime time households, and prime time W25-54.
Among the key demo of W25-54 rating, "Matchmaker Santa" was the #1 cable movie of the week and the #1 telecast of Saturday. In the Saturday 8-10p time period, "Matchmaker Santa" ranked among the top 3 in households and key demo ratings, including #1 in households (3.0 rating) , W25-54 (1.6 rating), and total viewers(1.5 rating). The film also placed in the top 3 for household and key demo impressions, delivering #1 in households (2,571,000), W25-54 (726,000), and total viewers (3,275,000). "Matchmaker Santa" elevated Hallmark Channel to be the #1 rated cable network for the entire day among W25-54 and the #1 rated cable network in prime time for Saturday among household and W25-54.
"It's Christmas, Carol!" was the #1 rated ad-supported cable movie for Sunday and the #2 movie of the week, ranking #2 in households (2.2 rating) and #2 in total viewers (1.1 rating) for the 8-10p time period. In the time period, the film delivered #2 in households (1,934,000) and #3 in P2+ (2,334,000) for household and key demo impressions. Among W25-54 rating, "It's Christmas, Carol!" was the #3 rated ad-supported cable movie of Sunday, lifting Hallmark Channel to the #2 rated cable network for the entire day among W25-54.
