Storm will officially suit up for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.

In an interview with ComingSoon.net, Halle Berry confirmed that she has signed on for Bryan Singer's upcoming film, saying, "I'm gonna be there. For sure."

Singer later confirmed the news today on Twitter, posting:

"Couldn't be more excited that [Halle Berry] has joined the cast. Hopefully she can improve the weather in Montreal."

Berry will join previously announced cast members from 2011's X-Men: First Class as well as from the X-Men trilogy released from 2000-06, including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore. GAME OF THRONES' Peter Dinklage has also signed on the X-Men's latest outing.

The last installment of the franchise, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, was set in 1962 when the United States government enlisted the help of Mutants with superhuman abilities to stop a malicious dictator who is determined to start world war III.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST will act as something of a sequel to 'First Class'. Days of Future Past is taken from two issues of Marvel Comics' Uncanny X-Men in 1981. The story was set in an alternate future in which surviving mutants were confined to concentration camps, while most of the X-Men had been killed. In order to stop this dismal future from unfolding, the X-Men had to stop a specific event from occurring in the past.

The film, from 20th Century Fox, is scheduled to begin production this April with a target release date of July 18, 2014.
