HGTV's Cousins, John Colaneri and Anthony Carrino, return for a new season of Cousins Undercover tonight, June 25, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The sophomore season will include two special episodes featuring families who appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in spring. Ellen surprised two unsuspecting military veterans and their families with life-changing home transformations completed by John and Anthony. Fans can watch the results of the renovations in new episodes of Cousins Undercover on July 2 and July 9 at 8 p.m.
"Together with John and Anthony,
HGTV has collaborated many times with Ellen's team to help deserving families with home renovations," said Steven Lerner, senior
Vice president, programing and production,
HGTV and DIY Network. "The heart of HGTV's
Cousins Undercover is to help communities say thank you to hometown heroes by mobilizing a crowd of volunteers to help execute an over-the-top home transformation in just a few days. Ellen's inclusion of military families makes the series even more special."
In the July 2 episode, John and Anthony reveal the home renovation results for veterans Alex and Heather Stephenson. While Ellen sends the family of five away on a vacation, the Cousins corral local veterans and community members to help give the Stephenson family their dream home. The episode on July 9 features the Cousins as they help Iraq War veteran Mark Little and his wife. The Little family purchased his childhood home several years ago, but after Mark lost his legs in an explosion during his military service, the family couldn't afford to make it accessible for his needs. Ellen once again helps get the unsuspecting homeowners out of town so the Cousins and the Little's friends and neighbors can overhaul the home for the entire family to enjoy.
Throughout season two of Cousins Undercover, John and Anthony - with help from the entire neighborhood - work around the clock to create the stunning home renovations to celebrate local heroes.
