HGTV is airing a special preview of two episodes of its new 2013 series, Catastrophe, Inc., this tonight, Nov. 4, beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The half-hour documentary style series features HGTV's Catastrophe, Inc. crew - licensed disaster recovery contractors Ed Ranieri and Enzo Maddalena, designer Kari Openshaw and Joe Charboneau, former Cleveland Indians player and all around construction worker - who are the masters of disaster clean up. These unsung heroes work relentlessly in the muck and grime to change people's lives by restoring their homes.
Premiering at 7 p.m. ET, the first episode, "Surprise Super Storm," documents the crew completely renovating the exterior of a Richmond, Va., house, including fixing the roof and nursery room, installing new landscaping, and adding on a much-needed porch after a 100-year old tree was uprooted and crashed into it during a violent thunderstorm. And at 7:30 p.m. ET, the second episode, "Waldo Canyon Fire Renovation," captures the crew rehabilitating a Colorado Springs, Colo., home that suffered severe damage caused by intense heat, smoke and water. HGTV's series premiere of Catastrophe, Inc., produced by Rivr Media, is expected to debut a 13-episode arc in second quarter next year.
Both Catastrophe, Inc. episodes are also airing later the same night on HGTVs sister property, DIY Network, at 11 p.m. ET and 11:30 p.m. ET. And earlier the same day at 6 p.m. ET, DIY Network is airing an encore of The Last House Standing, a one-hour special hosted by Kayleen McCabe and meteorologist and extreme weather expert
Bonnie Schneider, which offers homeowners proactive steps to protect their homes from natural disasters.
