An encore presentation of the VICE NEWS TONIGHT show dealing with the events in Charlottesville will air this Sunday, Aug. 27 (11:30 p.m.-midnight ET/PT) on HBO.
Originally presented Monday, Aug. 14, two days after the Charlottesville events, the show follows correspondent Elle Reeve, who spent that weekend with white supremacist leaders, including Christopher Cantwell, Robert Ray, David Duke and Matthew Heimbach, as well as with counter-protesters. The show also speaks with the Charlottesville police, residents of Charlottesville and members of the Black Lives Matter movement.
VICE and its intrepid team of correspondents deliver hard-hitting stories from around the world, investigating a broad range of topics, from the ongoing battle for LGBTQ rights to medical achievements like discovering a potential cure for blindness to the Syrian refugee crisis. Editions of VICE generally focus on two 15-minute stories, though "special editions" may encompass a single theme and run longer.
VICE executive producers include Bill Maher, Shane Smith, Eddy Moretti and Josh Tyrangiel; co-executive producers include Tim Clancy and Jonah Kaplan. Fareed Zakaria serves as a consulting producer.
