HBO Tops All Networks with 23 Primetime EMMY AWARDS

HBO received 23 Primetime Emmy(R) Awards, the most of any network for the 11th year in a row, in the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy(R) Awards competition. "GAME OF THRONES" received 6 awards, tied for the most of any program, while "Game Change" received 5 awards.

HBO's Emmy(R) wins this year include:

* 6 Emmys(R) for "GAME OF THRONES," including Outstanding Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series (tie with "Boardwalk Empire"); Outstanding Costumes for a Series; Outstanding Makeup for a Single-Camera Series (Non-Prosthetic); Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series; Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (One Hour); and Outstanding Special Visual Effects.

* 5 Emmys(R) for "Game Change," including Outstanding Miniseries or Movie; Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Julianne Moore); Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Jay Roach); Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Danny Strong); and Outstanding Casting for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special.

* 4 Emmys(R) for "Boardwalk Empire," including Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Tim Van Patten); Outstanding Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series (tie with "GAME OF THRONES"); Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series; and Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role.

* 2 Emmys(R) for "George Harrison: Living in the Material World," including Outstanding Nonfiction Special and Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming (Martin Scorsese).

* 2 Emmys(R) for "Hemingway and Gellhorn," including Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Original Dramatic Score) and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special.

* 1 Emmy(R) for "Curb Your Enthusiasm": Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series.

* 1 Emmy(R) for "Girls": Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series.

* 1 Emmy(R) for "2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony": Outstanding Picture Editing for Short-Form Segments and Variety Specials.

* 1 Emmy(R) for "Veep": Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).
