HBO Latino announced the premiere of season two of the original late-night talk show from HBO Latin America, CHUMEL CON CHUMEL TORRES, to air on February 20, 2017 at 11:00 PM EST. Chumel con Chumel Torres is the first HBO Latin America original production that adheres to the late-night talk show style inspired by comedians such as John Oliver and Jon Stewart. You can catch up on season 1 across all of the channel's platforms including HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and affiliate portals.
"We are excited to have a fresh and resonant voice like Chumel's back on
HBO Latino. It's an opportunity we have to continue serving our U.S. Latino audience that is looking for entertainment that directly reflects their sentiments on current events in a culturally relevant way," stated Lucinda Martinez, Senior Vice President of Multicultural and International Marketing at HBO.
For the new season of 30, half-hour episodes, Chumel will continue tackling controversial issues-the legalization of marijuana, homophobia and feminism, among others-using his style of political satire to tell us his opinions about the state of current affairs.
