To celebrate the new limited drama series SHARP OBJECTS joining the network's summer lineup, HBO is partnering with film podcast FILMSPOTTING to host advance screenings in SEATTLE and CHICAGO. The Seattle event onJune 19th will feature an advance screening of the series premiere and Q&A with series co-star Chris Messina. On Friday the 13th of July, Gillian Flynn, author, writer and executive producer will join Chicagoans for a sneak peek of episode two followed by a panel discussion moderated by Filmspotting.
Following the screenings and discussions in both cities, guests will experience the mystique and allure of SHARP OBJECTS as they step inside an interactive reproduction of the Crellin House, memorable to readers of the bestselling novel by Flynn.
The Crellin house activation will also be open to the public in Seattle at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)'s Sky Churchon Monday, June 18 and Tuesday, June 19 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. This opportunity is included with general admission.
The Chicago discussion moderated by FILMSPOTTING will be recorded and available to listeners on FILMSPOTTING's podcast.
Limited tickets to both events will be made available to the public in coming days on the Sharp Objects HBO Facebook page.
From the director of HBO's "Big Little Lies" (Jean-Marc Vallée) and the producer of "Get Out" (Jason Blum), SHARP OBJECTS is created by showrunner Marti Noxon ("Dietland"), based on the bestselling debut novel of the same name by Gillian Flynn, and is written by Flynn and Noxon. Amy Adams stars as reporter Camille Preaker, who returns to her small hometown to cover the murder of a preteen girl and the disappearance of another. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, she finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely.
Series also stars Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, Eliza Scanlen, Elizabeth Perkins & Matt Craven, as well as Henry Czerny, Taylor John Smith, Sophia Lillis & Madison Davenport.
The eight-episode limited drama series SHARP OBJECTS will debut SUNDAY, JULY 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
