Jay Roach, the man behind GAME CHANGE and RECOUNT, is sticking with HBO - but for his next project, he's enlisting Al Gore's daughter.
According to Deadline, Roach has teamed up writer Kristin Gore to bring the new half-hour comedy series, WOMEN IN SPACE, which Gore wrote, to the cable network. The pair will also executive produce.
The project "follows agroup of women exploring the final frontier on a mission to colonize another planet."
Roach also has THE BRINK, starring Tim Robbins and Jack Black, being developed by HBO. Per Deadline, Gore previously served as a writer for SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and FUTURAMA, and most recently co-wrote the independent film WAR STORY.
