NBC's Hannibal has (finally) received a premiere date.
HANNIBAL, featuring one of the most fascinating literary characters: psychiatrist-turned-serial killer, will officially premiere on Thursday, April 4 at 10PM. The drama adaptation of of Thomas Harris' novels takes the time slot formerly held by the short-lived DO NO HARM.
Creator Bryan Fuller announced the news via Twitter today, posting: @BryanFuller: #Hannibal Requests the Honor of your Presence for Dinner Thursday April 4 10PM @NBC -- Saving you a place at the table.
The post also included a kitschy photo of its star, Mads Mikkelsen.
Will Graham is a gifted criminal profiler who is on the hunt for a serial killer with the FBI. Graham's unique way of thinking gives him the astonishing ability to empathize with anyone - even psychopaths. He seems to know what makes them tick. But when the mind of the twisted killer he's pursuing is too complicated for even Will to comprehend, he enlists the help of Dr. Lecter, one of the premier psychiatric minds in the country. Armed with the uncanny expertise of the brilliant doctor, Will and Hannibal (known as a serial killer only to the audience) form a brilliant partnership and it seems there's no villain they can't catch.
HANNIBAL is set to feature a slew of guest stars including Gillian Anderson, Eddie Izzard, Molly Shannon, Ellen Green, and Raul Esparza.
