"Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief" today announced additional celebrity participants and corporate partners. The one-hour special, which will benefit those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, will air live and commercial free on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, at 8:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. CDT and re-air at 8:00 p.m. PDT on the West Coast.
Hand in Hand will be available in the U.S. on ABC, BET, Bravo, CBS, CMT, E!, FOX, HBO, MTV, MTV2,
MTV Live,
MTV Classic
NBC and Oxygen. Live streaming options will be available internationally via AOL.com, Apple, ATTN:, Beats1, Facebook, HuffPost, Twitter,
Youtube and Yahoo.com starting at 8:00 p.m. EDT during the first broadcast.
Cumulus/Westwood One will feature a partial simulcast of Hand in Hand on NASH Nights Live and the Zach Sang Show from 8:00-9:00 p.m. in all time zones. Additionally, Westwood One Affiliates will have access to the two-hour live broadcast of George Strait's Hand in Hand benefit concert live from The Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, TX.
iHeartMedia will broadcast the "Hand in Hand" across more than 150 radio stations nationwide and on iHeartRadio. SiriusXM will be carrying the audio of "Hand in Hand" allowing subscribers to tune in on their TODAY Show Radio (ch. 108), The Foxxhole (ch. 96) and Radio Andy (ch. 102) channels.
"Hand in Hand" is being generously underwritten by Verizon, who has also upped their call center volunteers to 3,000 across the US, the Michael & Susan Dell foundation and Apple.
PayPal will cover all processing fees for donations made with PayPal on the Hand in Hand website so that 100 percent of contributions go to relief efforts. Albertsons Companies Foundation and Merck have generously donated $1 Million to the Hand in Hand Hurricane Relief Fund.
Comic Relief
USA will be responsible for collecting donations in addition to managing and distributing grants through the Hand in Hand Hurricane Relief Fund. Proceeds from the telethon will benefit the Rebuild Texas Fund, Direct Relief, Feeding Texas, Habitat for Humanity, The Mayor's Fund for Hurricane Harvey Relief (administered by the Greater Houston Community Foundation), Save the Children and United Way of Greater Houston with more to be announced as the needs for those affected by Hurricane Irma are evaluated.
"Hand in Hand" will feature special messages of support from Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Taraji P. Henson, Dwayne Johnson and Will Smith among others.

Strait, a Country Music Hall of Fame member who is leading the country music world in these efforts will perform directly from his benefit concert at San Antonio's Majestic Theatre. Strait's concert will also be available via Facebook live-stream.
Digital, text and phone donations will all be accepted. Supporters can call 1-800-258-6000 to donate by credit card, calls are toll free in the US and Canada. Viewers can also have the option to make a $25 donation to the Hand in Hand Hurricane Relief Fund by simply texting "GIVE" to 80077 on their mobile phones. Phone lines will be open at the beginning of the broadcast and remain open indefinitely after the broadcast concludes. Text and digital donations will be accepted for several days after the broadcast.
