Groban, Tomei Join Carell and Gosling In New WB Film

Marisa Tomei and musician Josh Groban have joined the cast of the Steve Carell-Ryan Gosling marital crisis comedy for Warner Bros, according to Variety. The new film will be directed by John Requa and Glenn Ficarra, and features a screenplay by Dan Fogelman.

The story centers "a father whose life unravels while he deals with spousal problems and tries to manage his relationship with his children." Annaleigh Tipton and Emma Stone have already been cast in the movie.

According to the trade paper, Tomei will play the first woman that Carell's character dates after he's been schooled by Gosling's character in the art of meeting women. Groban will play the boyfriend of Stone's character.

The film will be produced by Steve Carell and Denise Di Novi. Charlie Hartsock and Vance DeGeneres will act as executive producers.

Josh Groban is a Grammy Award-nominated American singer/songwriter noted for his mature baritone voice and acclaimed albums and world-wide concert performances. His solo records include his self-titled debut CD (2001), followed by "Closer" (2003) and "Awake" (2006), plus his holiday album "Noel" (2007).  He has appeared in concert with Sarah Brightman, Charlotte Church,Barbra Streisand and the Actor's Fund Benefit Concert of Chess in 2003.

Groban burst on to the international music scene in 2001 with the release of his self-titled debut album featuring the hit single, "To Where You Are". His follow-up CD ‘Closer' with the smash hit "You Raise Me Up" brought enormous success to the young singing sensation. He has made scores of television appearances beginning with Ally McBeal and continuing with countless performances on Oprah Winfrey, Good Morning America, The Today Show, the Superbowl, the Oscars and the closing ceremonies of the 2002 Winter Olympics with an audience of over 2 billion people.
