Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars as Bram Stoker's infamous and iconic imbiber of plasma, Count Dracula, in NBC's moody and atmospheric new reboot of the horror classic in the form of a weekly TV series and an attention-grabbing new music video promotional spot for the series has been released in anticipation of the premiere coming later this year, just in time for Halloween.
The official synopsis of DRACULA is as follows: "It's the late 19th century, and the mysterious Dracula has arrived in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. He's especially interested in the new technology of electricity, which promises to brighten the night - useful for someone who avoids the sun. But he has another reason for his travels: he hopes to take Revenge on those who cursed him with immortality centuries earlier. Everything seems to be going according to plan... until he becomes infatuated with a woman who appears to be a reincarnation of his dead wife. From the producers of the critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning hit "Downton Abbey" comes "Dracula," a twisted, sophisticated and sexy take on Bram Stoker's classic novel, proving that some stories never die."
DRACULA stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers alongside Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Jessica DeGouw, Thomas Kretschmann, Katie McGrath, Nonso Anozie, Victoria Smurfit, Ben Miles and Robert Bathhurst. It was created by Cole Haddon and the pilot was directed by Steve Schill.
More information on DRACULA is available at the official site here.
DRACULA premieres on October 25 at 10 PM on NBC.
