Golf Channel's coverage of the 2013 Web.com Tour season gets underway Thursday with live, four-round coverage of the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation from Greenville, S.C.
The BMW Charity Pro-Am is the only tournament on the Web.com schedule that features both amateurs and celebrities competing alongside Tour professionals in a better-ball competition played over four golf courses. Celebrities scheduled to compete in this year's tournament include actors Lucas Black, Anthony Anderson, Craig T. Nelson and Kurt Russell; hockey icon Wayne Gretzky and Carolina Hurricanes head coach Kirk Muller, among others.Golf Channel live air times for the tournament are Thursday and Friday (May 16-17), 12:30-2:30 p.m. ET, and Saturday-Sunday (May 18-19), 3-5 p.m. ET.2013 is a milestone year for the Web.com Tour, marking the first time it becomes the main path to earning playing privileges on the PGA TOUR, with all 50 TOUR cards being awarded through qualifying play on theWeb.com Tour. Twenty-five cards will be issued to the top-25 leading money winners at the conclusion of the regular season, with an additional 25 cards on the line during the Web.com Tour Finals (based on Finals' earnings), a series of four events leading to the season-ending Web.com Tour Championship. Golf Channel will air 10 events in 2013, including the Web.com Tour Finals and the Web.com Tour Championship.Videos
