Golden Age Of Musicals Returns to Big Screen in Short Musical Film CARNIVAL KID

Carnival Kid is a new short musical film set to debut in 2017. It draws heavily upon the golden age of musical film, adding an element of the classic technicolor. This comedic musical film follows Travis through a dream sequence as he just can't get his co-worker Adeline off his mind!

Production wrapped up on April 17, in Los Angles California and will be produced by Three Cords & a Hook studios. Carnival Kid currently awaiting its premier on the film festival circuit. Michael Perry of Jour Majesty, an acclaimed folk-pop group will direct and produce the film. Which will revolve around Jour Majesty's new single, "Carnival Kid." Michael is also no stranger to success. As Jour Majesty's last music video: Empty Box of Wine has received international acclaim. Winning best short at the London International Short Film Festival, best animation at the Action on Film Festival, also winning the prestigious Ginny award recognizing Inspiration-Creativity-Imagination by filmmakers at the Twin Falls Sandwiches Film Festival.

The film stars some of the nations most talented dancers: Cooper Flanagan in her film debut as well as Matt Wiercinski. Cooper Flanagan is a Dancer, Choreographer, and Actress based in New York City. Raised in Texas, Cooper attended both LA and NY Campuses of AMDA and graduated in 2015. She has assisted Lane Napper in choreographing for Nickelodeon shows, including "Henry Danger" and "Gameshakers". She also was the Associate Choreographer for Lane Napper's "Rock n Roll Debauchery". She choreographed the entirety of a production of "Cabaret" at The Beacon School in 2016. Currently Cooper trains and assists faculty at Broadway Dance Center. She is excited to make her film debut in Michael C. Perry's "Carnival Kid".

Matt Wiercinski grew up in Totowa, NJ, and danced locally and in the city throughout his early life. Matt has been able to work with some of the top choreographers in the business. Almost directly out of high school Matt began to work professionally in theater and the commercial world. Currently Matt is signed with Bloc Talent Agency, and Bicoastal MGMT. He is not only an actor and dancer, but sings and does modeling as well. He has worked regional in theater across the country. He also as performed/worked for: HENRY DANGER (Nickelodeon), Samsung, MAC Cosmetics and NY Fashion week."

Choreography for the film will be handled by Lane Napper, who is known for his choreography work on the Nickelodeon shows iCarly and Victorious. Napper also had a recurrent role as the hip guidance counselor on Victorious. His work is not limited to Nickelodeon and has worked on many other network television shows such as: Suddenly Susan, The George LOPEZ Show, and Nikki. Lane's energy and flare have made him one of the most sought after and coveted choreographers on the scene today. His style is fun, invigorating, and extremely moving.

Writer/Executive Producer and West Virginia native Joey P Fama has received several noteworthy nominations and awards for his work on short screenplays. These include Best Comedy Screenplay under 15 pages by the Northern Virginia Film Festival, in Fairfax, Virginia, a nomination for best short scene from the Action on Film Festival in Pasadena, California, and 3rd place in the short screenplay category from the Down beach Film Festival in Atlantic City in New Jersey.

When asked about Carnival Kid Fama said, "It's a really fun movie, I think people are really going to enjoy it. Especially people who enjoy musicals and classic films."
