An unlikely pair, political commentator Glenn Beck and comedian Vince Vaughn, have announced a partnership to create a new reality television show. Vaughn and his Wild West Productions will executive produce.
TheBlaze, an Internet-based TV network, owned by Beck, will broadcast PURSUIT OF TRUTH, a reality show in which filmmakers competet to have their documentary financed. Throughout the show, the contestants will reportedly create B-Roll, give pitches, and participate in interviews about their potential docs.
“Our goal is to create a powerful annual platform to help filmmakers tell important and engaging stories,” said Peter Billingsley of a Wild West Productions - who is also known as the infamous Ralphie in A CHRISTMAS STORY.
Beck is the founder of Mercury Radio Arts and one of America’s leading radio and television personalities. Beck is also the author of several No. 1 New York Times bestsellers in both fiction and non-fiction. TheGlenn Beck Program is syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks and is the third highest-rated national radio talk show among adults ages 25 to 54.
