Following her successful run on "Dancing With the Stars," the "Empress of Soul," Gladys Knight, will lend her musical expertise to CENTRIC's new original series APOLLO LIVE premiering in Fall 2012.  Joining judges Doug E. Fresh and Michael Bivins, the legendary songstress will give guidance to each hopeful contestant as they take the stage with the hope to jumpstart their career in the entertainment industry.  The winning contestant from each episode will be rewarded with a cash prize.

Birthplace of legends and home of future stars, The Apollo Theater shines anew for the next generation. Executive producers Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx, Marcus King and Don Weiner put a fresh spin on the classic variety show "Amateur Night" at Harlem's iconic venue, including a talent showcase and a singing competition. APOLLO LIVE promises a bevy of special guest appearances and performances.  Hosted by funny man Tony Rock and of course, starring the electric Apollo Theater live audience.

APOLLO LIVE is executive produced by Jamie Foxx, Marcus King and Don Weiner.
