Two Ginger Rogers films will be shown on a 12-foot screen on Friday night, July 13 at the Truman Memorial Building at 416 W Maple Avenue. Suggested donation is $5.00. Only 75 seats are available.
Festival ticket holders will have the opportunity to see presentations about the house where Ginger was born, the history of the house, Ginger's ancestors, and more at the Truman Library on July 14. Speakers include Audrey Elder with Past2Present Research, Gene Padgitt with HearthMasters, Inc., Tom Talbert, videographer, and Marge Padgitt, Director of the museum. A tour of the Truman Library is included in the ticket price. A fundraising banquet and silent auction will be held in the evening at the Truman Memorial Building. The keynote speaker is Roberta Olden, Ginger Rogers' personal assistant for 18 years. On Sunday, July 15, a Ginger Roger's fan club meeting for festival ticket holders only will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Ginger House Museum at 100 W Moore Street. The Museum will be open to the public from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for a fee of $6.00 per person. The official opening of the museum will occur later in the year.Videos
