Sony may have pulled THE INTERVIEW from its Christmas Day release - but others are rallying for the film to be shown - GAME OF THRONES author George R.R. Martin included. In a new blog post, Martin has offered to screen the film at his own Jean Cocteau Cinema.

"For what it's worth, the Jean Cocteau Cinema will be glad to screen THE INTERVIEW (assuming that Sony does eventually release the film for theatrical exhibition, rather than streaming it or dumping it as a direct-to-DVD release), should it be made available to us," he wrote. "Come to Santa Fe, Seth, we'll show your film for you."

Last week, Somy decided to pull the James Franco-Seth Rogan led film from theaters following threats of violence from hackers working for North Korea. In a speech last week, President Obama criticized the studio for being "intimidated by these kind of criminal attacks.' Sony responded that the cancellation came only after theater chains and other streaming sites refused to show the film.

THE INTERVIEW follows Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show "Skylark Tonight." When they discover that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.
