Geena Davis, Joan Chen Join EVE Starring Jessica Chastain

Geena Davis and Joan Chen have been cast in the action-drama "Eve" with Jessica Chastain, according to Variety.

The film, from Voltage Pictures and Freckle Films is directed byTate Taylor with production underway in Boston. The film also stars Colin Farrell, Common, John Malkovich, and Diana Silvers.

Chastain is portraying the title character, who works for a BLACK OPS organization led by Farrell's character. Common will portray her ex-fiance.

The film will be fully financed by Voltage, who will handle worldwide sales at the American Film Market. The film is being produced by Nicolas Chartier and Dominic Rustam for Voltage, with Chastain and Kelly Carmichael, who are producing for Freckle Films. Executive producing the film are Jonathan Deckter, John Norris, Erika Hampson, and William Earon.

Davis won the Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role in "The Accidental Tourist" and was nominated for best actress for "Thelma & Louise."

Chen recently starred in Netflix series "Marco Polo" and just wrapped "Tigertail."
