Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is in talks to executive produce and star in a limited series about film actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr, according to Deadline. The Affair co-creator/executive producer Sarah Treem, co-creator and executive producer of The Affair, is in talks to write the series.
The series will chronicle the life and career of Lamarr. Gadot had been looking to do a project about Lamarr, who has been referred to as a real-life Jewish "Wonder Woman" whose inventions led to WiFi and GPS.
Gadot will executive produce the limited series with her husband and producing partner Jaron Varsano, along with Treem and The Handmaid's Tale producer. Warren Littlefield. Endeavor Content is the studio.
When Showtime's executives were asked about the project they said since they don't have a closed deal, they can't speak about it, but president of programming Gary Levine said, "If it comes together, we will be extremely happy."
