It's time for another revolution! Gabriel Iglesias is back at it and taking over the Ft. Lauderdale Improv with his funniest friends for the second season of "Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution," premiering tonight, October 4 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Iglesias opens each of the six episodes with all-new material, introducing several stand-up guests throughout each show. Comedian, long-time friend and "the craziest man in show business" Martin Moreno returns as the show announcer and guest commentator, and three-time GRAMMY Award-winners Ozomatli are also back to rock out as the house band. New this season, Fluffy gets animated for several never-before-seen cartoons. Comedians stopping by to join the fun include Ian Bagg, Tony Baker, Dov Davidoff, Pablo Francisco, Dillon Garcia, Nick Guerra, Trevor Noah, Thai Rivera, Alfred Robles, Wil Sylvince, Gina Yashere, and Dustin Ybarra.
In the premiere episode, Iglesias starts off the night by letting the audience know the "slushies" they are drinking should have come with a disclaimer, and recounting a hilarious prank involving some bored immigration officers. The first episode of the season also features stand-up sets from newcomer Trevor Noah and fan favorite Dov Davidoff, and closes with the debut of the music video for "Stand-Up Revolution," written and performed by house band Ozomatli, starring Iglesias and Moreno and featuring cameos by many of the comics appearing on the series this season.
The "Stand-Up Revolution" Web site will feature preview and highlight clips from each episode, as well as a Twitter module that will display tweets from fans using the hashtag #AskFluffy.
The "Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution" second season DVD will be released by COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment later this year and will include all-new hilarious material with animated segments of Iglesias' most popular jokes, extended episodes featuring even more of Fluffy's hilarious friends and an outstanding selection of bonus features.
"Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand-Up Revolution" is executive produced by Iglesias, Joe Meloche, Stu Schreiberg, and John Bravakis; and directed by Manny Rodriguez. The Executive in Charge of Production for COMEDY CENTRAL is JoAnn Grigioni. The series is executive produced by Triage Entertainment.
Iglesias' unique and animated comedy style has made him popular among fans of all ages. His first two DVD specials "Hot & Fluffy" and "I'm Not Fat…I'm Fluffy" have sold well over one million copies. Iglesias is a social media sensation, with YouTube views alone in the multi-millions. In addition to sold out shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York, and the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, he has sold out performances around the globe, including Australia, Europe, the U.K. and Saudi Arabia.
