GSN, the leader in game shows and competitive entertainment, plans to expand upon the popularity of its hit series SKIN WARS, greenlighting an eight-episode order of the new one-hour series, SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT, to be hosted by master of transformation, RuPaul Charles, who also serves as a judge on SKIN WARS.

SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT, which first aired as a one-hour special in August 2015, features three of SKIN WARS' top former contestants who mentor six new, highly accomplished artists each week. These artists are at the top of their game in their own disciplines, but will leave their creative comfort zones to compete in body painting for the first time, attempting to win the $10,000 prize at the end of each show and become a SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT Champion.

In each self-contained episode, the three SKIN WARS All-Stars will work with artists from a variety of backgrounds and skillsets and give them a crash course in body painting. They'll mentor their teammates through several rounds of intense competition, pushing them to apply their talents to the human canvas in innovative ways. It all culminates in a final challenge where the remaining two artists must put all they've learned to the test, completing a full body masterpiece on their own. In the end they'll be judged by international master body painter Emma Cammack and art critic Mat Gleason, founder of the renowned Coagula Art Journal and contributor to The Huffington Post.

"Skin Wars: Fresh Paint expands the SKIN WARS franchise by challenging the country's most talented artists to redefine their creative boundaries," says Amy Introcaso-Davis, EVP of Programming, GSN. "RuPaul, the innovator of transformation, is the perfect host to anchor the franchise's next step."

"Our ability to do SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT is a direct result of the widespread success of 'Skin Wars,'" says executive producer Michael Levitt. "I'm excited that we can use the platform of this new series to expose even more artists to this art form and hopefully create a whole new generation of body painters."

SKIN WARS: FRESH PAINT is executive produced by Michael Levitt of Michael Levitt Productions ("Skin Wars," "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," "Ask Oprah's All Stars"), Jill Goularte, Kate Kenny and RuPaul Charles.
