From its first half-hour to its second, "Fashion Star" increased in rating by 11 percent in women 18-49 (to a 1.0 from a 0.9) and grew by 33 percent in women 18-34 (0.8 vs. 0.6).
* At 9 p.m. ET, "Grimm" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS,
NBC and
FOX in 18-49. Week to week, "Grimm" is matching its 18-49 rating from one week earlier and is up 1 percent in total viewers (4.951 million vs. 4.911 million), despite last night's special NCAA Basketball competition on CBS. Last night's "Grimm"
Built on its lead-in by 100 percent in 18-49 rating and 71 percent in total viewers.
* Note that in the fourth quarter, "Grimm" originals grew by 73 percent over these next-day "live plus same day" numbers in 18-49 when Nielsen reported additional time-shifting viewership in "live plus seven day" results (to a 2.86 rating from a 1.65).
* From 10-11 p.m. ET, "Rock Center with BrIan Williams" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 50 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.6) and 39 percent in total viewers (3.865 million vs. 2.798 million), setting a three-week high in total viewers. "Rock Center" maintained its 18-49 rating from its first half-hour to its second.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.7/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.2/4 with an Encore delayed by basketball; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/5.
* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an Encore delayed by basketball; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.
* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.7/3 with an Encore delayed by basketball). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2 with an Encore delayed by basketball).
* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
