ABC News "Good Morning America" is heading to Hollywood for the Oscars®. Leading up to Hollywood's biggest night, GMA will countdown to the awards with daily segments on entertainment news, red carpet fashion trends, and interviews with the nominees.
On Wednesday, GMA will broadcast a nationwide sing-a-long of the Oscar-nominated hit song "Let It Go," from the popular movie "Frozen." Beginning in Times Square, the sing-a-long will include musician Idina Menzel and surprise cameos from celebrities, You Tube versions from kids around the world, and "Frozen" character's Princess Elsa and Princess Anna from Disney World. On Thursday, our studio is transformed into popular 70's nightclub Studio 54 in homage to best picture nominee "American Hustle." Then, on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28, Robin Roberts reports live from inside the Dolby Theatre and has an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on how the second-time Oscar host is preparing for the big night.
On March 2, Sunday's GMA will broadcast live reports from
ABC News entertainment correspondent Chris Connelly and Rachel Smith on the red carpet outside the Hollywood & Highland Center®. Later that night, Robin Roberts and Lara Spencer will co-host "Oscar's Red Carpet Live" with Jess Cagle, Editorial Director or PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly, along with actor, model, and television host Tyson Beckford. This extended 90-minute pre-show, the only official red carpet event, will air on
ABC at 7:00pm ET.
On Monday, March 3, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Lara Spencer, Josh Elliott and Ginger Zee will anchor live from Los Angeles, showcasing all the highlights, plus exclusive interviews with some of the celebration's big winners. Multi-Grammy winning musician John Legend will perform live in our studio after singing at last night's star-studded Governors Ball. "Dancing with the Stars" professional dancer
Derek Hough will dazzle the audience with his renowned choreography. Additionally, Brooke Burke-Charvet will join the team with behind-the-scenes dish from the red carpet, plus the fashion experts will weigh in on the night's red carpet hits and misses. Comedian DL Hughley brings us inside some of Hollywood's exclusive after parties and model Camila Alves shows viewers how she got ready for her big night on the red carpet.
Then on Tuesday, March 4, GMA will exclusively reveal the new "Dancing with the Stars" celebrity cast in front of a live audience. Co-anchor Lara Spencer will report live from Los Angeles with "Dancing with the Stars" co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews as the hit reality competition show celebrates its 18th season.
