GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS Hit Seven-Year Ratings High

"The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards" (14.1/21 in households in the 56 markets metered by Nielsen Media Research) hit a seven-year high, best since Monday, Jan. 15, 2007 (16.0/23).

Versus last year, "The Golden Globe Awards" are up 8% in metered-market households (14.1/21 vs. 13.1/20 on Jan. 13, 2013). Versus two years ago, "The Golden Globe Awards" are up 21% (14.1/21 vs. 11.7/18).

Note that fast-affiliate ratings at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET are not time zone-adjusted and will be unreliable for the live "Golden Globes" telecast.

The 71st AnnuAl Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler for the second year in a row, aired last night, January 12, 2014, LIVE coast-to-coast on NBC from the Beverly Hilton. The 71st AnnuAl Golden Globe Awards was seen in more than 192 countries and is produced by Dick Clark productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Among the night's winners were AMC's Breaking Bad and its star Bryan Cranston, Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams for 'American Hustle' and '12 Years a Slave' for Best Motion Picture Drama.
