GMA Widens Weekly Total Viewing Margin Over 'Today' to Largest in 7 Weeks

ABC News' "Good Morning America" ranked No. 1 in the morning in Total Viewers (4.899 million) for the week of April 18, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" outperformed NBC's "Today" (4.681 million), widening its winning margin week to week by +33% (218,000 vs. 164,000 for w/o 4/11/16) to its biggest in 7 weeks - since w/o 2/29/16.

For the 5th straight week, "GMA" built on its Total Viewer performance from the previous week (+1% - 4.899 million vs. 4.867 million for w/o 4/11/16), delivering the program's most watched week in 6 weeks - since w/o 3/7/16.

Season to date, "GMA" stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating "Today" by 236,000 (4.951 million vs. 4.715 million), taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, "GMA" outdelivered "CBS This Morning" in Total Viewers (+31%/+1.146 million), Adults 25-54 (+47%/+526,000) and Adults 18-49 (+48%/+384,000).
