ABC News' GOOD MORNING AMERICA was No. 1 for week of July 2, 2012 with 4.462 million Total Viewers, ranking No. 1 for the 2nd straight week and for the 6th time in the last 13 weeks, according to Nielsen Media Research. "GMA" outdelivered NBC's "Today" (4.219 million) by 243,000 viewers, its largest margin of victory yet over NBC's "Today" since snapping "Today's" 852-week winning streak (on w/o 4/9/12).

Further, it was "GMA's" largest advantage over the NBC morning newscast in nearly 17 years - since w/o 12/4/95. Additionally, Goodmorningamerica.com on Yahoo! is the dominant morning news website, leading NBC's Today.com by millions of pageviews and unique users. In June 2012, 22.3 million people visited Goodmorningamerica.com on Yahoo!.

In Adults 25-54, "GMA" slashed nearly all of its week-to-week demo margin with "Today"
(-91% -- 24,000 vs. 277,000). In fact, with only 24,000 Adults 25-54 separating the two programs, "GMA" turned in its closest news demo performance with "Today" in nearly 17 years - since w/o 9/11/95.

"GMA" ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers three times during the week (regular telecasts). "GMA" topped NBC's "Today" on Monday by +2,000 (4.381 million vs. 4.379 million - 7/2/12), on Tuesday by +408,000 (4.580 million vs. 4.172 million - 7/3/12) and on Friday by +559,000 (4.507 million vs. 3.948 million - 7/6/12). In addition, "GMA's" Tuesday and Friday telecasts were the two most-watched morning newscasts of the week.

In addition, "GMA" ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54 twice during the week (regular telecasts). "GMA" beat NBC's "Today" in the key adult news demo on Tuesday by +64,000 (1.663 million vs. 1.599 million - 7/3/12) and on Friday by +242,000 (1.777 million vs. 1.535 million - 7/6/12). Notably, "GMA" scored its highest number of single-day demo wins over "Today" during the course of a week in over 7 years - since w/o 5/23/05, when "GMA" also had two news demo wins during the week.

Season to date, "GMA" has cut its gaps with "Today" in half in both Total Viewers (-55%) and Adults 25-54 (-49%) versus its year-ago season gaps. In fact, "GMA" is posting its smallest Total Viewer (355,000) and Adult 25-54 (370,000) margins with "Today" in 16 years - since the 1995-96 Season.

Season to date "GMA" is the only morning program to grow in Total Viewers (+4%) and Adults 25-54 (+7%) versus its year-ago averages (NBC's "Today:" -5%/-9%, respectively; CBS' "This Morning:" -7%/-8%, respectively). "GMA" is seeing its largest overall season audience in 6 years, since 2005-06.
