GLEE, 'Ugly Betty,' 'Pushing Daisies,' 'Grey Gardens' et al. Garner Art Directors Guild Awards Nominees

The Art Directors Guild has announced its nominees for their annual ADG Awards for excellence in production design. Awards will be announced at a gala ceremony on February 13 at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Continuing on its winning streak, The Hurt Locker received recognition, in addition to the films Angels & Demons, The Hangover, The Lovely Bones and Up in the Air.

A Serious Man, Inglourious Basterds, Public Enemies and Sherlock Holmes lead in the period film category while Avatar District 9, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Star TrekWhere the Wild Things Are fulfill the fantasy category.

On the television side, single-camera series nominees include production designers for GLEE, Mad Men, Pushing Daisies, True Blood and Ugly Betty, while television movie or miniseries nominees feature Ben 10 Alien Swarm, Grey Gardens The Prisoner.

Warren Beatty will receive the ADG's Outstanding Contribution to Cinematic Imagery Award, while Terence Marsh will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. Production designer Michael Baugh will be honored with the Creative Leadership Award. Malcolm F. Brown, Bob Keene and Ferdinando Scarfiotti are among the production designers who will be inducted into the the ADG Hall of Fame this year.
