GLEE picked up four Golden Globe nominations, which were announced this morning.  In addition to being nominated for Best Television Series (along with 30 Rock, Entourage, Modern Family, and The Office) three GLEE stars were recognized with noms: Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, and Jane Lynch.

Entertainment Weekly had the chance to phone interview the excited nominees, and Michele said "I still can't believe - that I was nominated in The category that I'm in, with the caliber of actresses I'm amongst. It's such an out-of-body experience."  When asked about Golden Globes night, the Spring Awakening alum said "I just want to sit back and be a fly on the wall." Morrison pondered over what it meant to get a nomination: "Everyone says "Tony-nominated actor Matthew Morrison." So now I have another thing to put on there!"  He concluded that this was a "good week" and would be playing a round of golf with his father to celebrate. Jane Lynch, who recently made her New York theatre debut in Nora Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore, called being nominated "a lovely dream" and said she was not surprised the Hollywood Foreign Press embraced her extreme character on the show. To read Lynch's full interview, click here.

GLEE follows an optimistic teacher who - against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach - attempts to save McKinley High's Glee Club from obscurity while helping a group of aspiring underdogs realize their true star potential. Glee ended its season finale on a high note last week, with 8.1 million viewers tuning in. Overall, the season has been a rousing success, becoming FOX's top grosser and generating 2 chart-topping albums, in addition to making stars of its cast. GLEE returns to network television on Tuesday, April 13 at 9pm EST on FOX.
