CBS has enlisted a few more cast members for its ensemble miniseries, UNDER THE DOME.
GLEE's Jolene Purdy and Nicholas Strong of Nashville have both signed on for the summer special, The Hollywood Reporter has learned, as CBS works diligently to fill the large number of roles.
Purdy will play 'Dodee,' a young engineer at Chester Mill's radio station who manages to make contact with others outside of the dome.
Strong is set to take on the role of 'Phil,' the same radio station's number one DJ, who may have a dark secret or two hidden away in his past.
The duo join previously announced Britt Robertson, Natalie Martinez, Colin Ford, and Alex Koch as series regulars.
The series, based on the novel by Stephen King, tells the tale of "residents in the Community as they deal with the postapocalyptic conditions while searching for answers as to what the barrier is, where it came from and when -- and if -- it will go away." Joe soon learns that he has been separated from his parents who are on the other side of the dome.
Under the Dome will be produced by CBS Television Studios along with Steven Spielberg's Amblin Television. Neal Baer (A GIFTED MAN, LAW & ORDER: SVU), King, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Stacey Snider and Brian K. Vaughan (Y: THE LAST MAN, LOST) will serve as executive producers. Niels Arden Oplev will helm the first episode.
UNDER THE DOME will premiere on Monday, June 24 at 10 p.m.Videos
