In a new interview with People.com, GLEE's creator Ryan Murphy tells the magazine that he doesn't know what role Idina Menzel will play on GLEE, noting that "I just met with her once. It sort of got leaked, but I haven't plotted it out yet."

What Murphy could however confirm is that Menzel's former WICKED co-star Kristin Chenoweth will be headed back to the show in a "huge episode" returning as a former McKinley High School glee-club member.

Earlier this week, cast members of Fox's hit TV series GLEE have confirmed that Idina Menzel will be appearing as a new character on the TV show when the second half of the first season begins airing in the Spring of 2010.

Menzel may appear in all of the nine remaining episodes of the season to play the coach of rival Glee Club - Vocal Adrenaline.

RENT alum and Private Practice star Taye Diggs recently sat down with Fancast.com to talk all things Sam, Addison & Naomi and whether or not he or his famous wife, Broadway vet Idina Menzel, have plans to grace the set of GLEE.

Diggs told Fancast.com that "I know that she would love [to guest star on Glee]" in response to questions about fans' desire to see Menzel play Lea Michele's mother on the show.

People also reports from Fancast.com that "Adding that Michele - who originated the role of Wendla in the Broadway play Spring Awakening - and Menzel are "fans of each other," Diggs acknowledged the pair's uncanny resemblance, saying "We knew that existed far, far before the TV world did.""

GLEE, the genre-defying new musical comedy series, follows an optimistic teacher who - against all odds and a malicious cheerleading coach - attempts to save McKinley High's Glee Club from obscurity while helping a group of aspiring underdogs realize their true star potential.
