In an interview with Eonline at this year's Comic-Con, Ian Brennon, co-creator of the FOX musical series GLEE, talked about new characters on the upcoming fourth season as well as news of an exciting tribute episode.
Among the show's new characters will be Puck's younger brother Jake, who Brennon describes as "sort of a bad boy who appears at the school." In other news, the writer revealed that in addition to doing another Britney Spears tribute in the new season, producers are currently finalizing a deal with an even bigger artist. Teases Brennon, "There's an artist big enough that it's going to take two episodes that will be in the back nine. That's how large the catalogue is." Asked for more of a hint as to who it may be, Brennon would only divulge, "Male."
GLEE co-creator Ryan Murphy recently revealed that part of the show's upcoming season will be shot on location in New York City. Commented GLEE star Chris Colfer, "Nothing is in stone, because we're still budgeting, but I would love to come once every five weeks and shoot a lot of scenes there," he said. "We are 100 percent doing that - we're not going to do it all on a sound stage."
GLEE Season 4 will debut on Fox in its new time slot on Thursday, September 13.
