Jordan Peele's GET OUT tops the nominations for the 2017 GOTHAM AWARDS, Independent Filmmaker Project's annual ceremony honoring indie film. The film was recognized in the categories of Best Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor for Daniel Kaluuya.
Nominees for the awards are selected by committees of film critics, journalists, festival programmers, and film curators. Separate juries of writers, directors, actors, producers, editors and others directly involved in making films will determine the final Gotham Award recipients.
The Gotham Audience Award nominees are comprised of the 14 films nominated for Best Feature, Best Documentary, and the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director Award. The winners are selected by online voting of IFP members, which opens on November 17th. This year's Gotham Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, November 27th at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
