After a short summer vacation, GARBAGE TIME WITH KATIE NOLAN returns to FS1 just in time for football season, debuting on its NEW DAY and time tonight, Sept. 9, at Midnight ET.
To celebrate the first episode of Season 2, GARBAGE TIME hits the road and for the first time ever shoots an entire episode on-location. Nolan returns to the White Horse Tavern in Allston, Mass., just outside of Boston, where she tended bar before becoming a star on FS1. The episode goes in-depth on Tom Brady and the "Deflategate" controversy before Nolan's beloved New England Patriots open the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and features a live audience with bar games, giveaways and a few surprises.
GARBAGE TIME WITH KATIE NOLAN maintains its popular format in its upcoming season, tackling the biggest sports stories of the week with amusing guest interviews, clever comedy bits and fearless opinions on tough topics. GARBAGE TIME also escapes the confines of its tiny studio more frequently this season, popping up at events both big and small to put Katie's spin on the topics that real fans love.
"GARBAGE TIME has been a blast to make, and I'm excited to keep making it." Nolan said. "I look forward to continuing to garner such rave reviews like, 'What is this?' and 'This show makes me uncomfortable.'"
"Katie is fearless and funny - a great combo for us at FS1," said Jamie Horowitz, President,
Fox Sports National Networks. "We are looking for original thinkers with unique, unfiltered perspectives. Katie is exactly that."
GARBAGE TIME WITH KATIE NOLAN premiered March 15, 2015, and aired Sunday nights on FS1 during its first season, attracting large audiences both on television and online. The show eclipsed the 1 million mark three times in terms of combined television and digital audiences who watched all or part of an episode. Season 1 of GARBAGE TIME attracted its highest viewership total on Sunday, April 19, when more than 1.6 million people caught all or part of Episode 6 on television or online, which attracted an average audience of 401,000.
Nolan joined
Fox Sports in August 2013 as a cast member on FS1's CROWD GOES WILD. After CGW, Nolan continued to host her popular web series, "No Filter" on FOXSports.com before GARBAGE TIME premiered in March of 2015. Prior to joining
FOX Sports, Nolan worked with Guyism.com, part of
FOX Sports' Yardbarker Network, as the only female voice on the popular male-oriented website, producing and hosting her popular
Youtube show "Guyism Speed Round." Nolan graduated from Hofstra with a degree in public relations.
GARBAGE TIME is produced by Embassy Row Productions in New York City.
