If GAME OF THRONES is known for anything, it's the constant violent content and frequent on-screen deaths.
HBO's hit fantasy intrigue show has lately been under fire regarding its graphic plots, with some speculating that the blood and gore is quite excessive. However, the stars do not agree.
"You mostly always feel the consequences of that person dying," says GAME OF THRONES star Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow. "In Thrones it's war, and awful, awful things happen, as we see on the news daily. And if we've got an appetite for watching these things on the news then you can't shy away from it on cable drama."
He says that the deaths are far from gratuitous because they are essential to the plot.
"In Thrones, as much as they bury the dead they see very quickly there is an impact that those deaths have which I'm constantly playing. People are always dying around me in Thrones."
