GAME OF THRONES S3 Trailer Most Viewed Ever!

The long-awaited trailer for the third season of HBO's massively successful fantasy series Game of Thrones has in two short days become the most-viewed trailer for any show in HBO history.

Amassing more than 10 million views in 48 hours, the Game of Thrones trailer is a tantalizing glimpse into the intriguing world of the third season of the genre-redefining series - a true Epic for adults.

Showcasing glimpses of fire-breathing dragons, ever-expanding storms, warships at sea and the phenomenal cast of characters the make up the weird, wondrous and Unforgettable world of George R. R. Martin's creation, A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE, the new season seems set to deliver on the gigantic promise of its source material - that is, the first half of the game-changing third volume in the series, A STORM OF SWORDS; the second half of the massive tome will be covered in an already in-production Season Four next year.

While the second season saw more than 4 million viewers check out the trailer at this time last year, that number will surely be tripled by the end of the week for this minute-long S3 debut, revealing the desperate desire of an ever-growing fanbase for more THRONES.

HBO's Game of Thrones was created by Daniel Benioff and D.B. Weiss, based on the not-yet-complete series of book by Martin.

Season Three of Game of Thrones kicks off Sunday, March 31 on HBO. The second season Blu-ray set is available now.
