Variety reports that a fifth GAME OF THRONES prequel series is in the works at HBO. GOT Season One writer Bryan Cogman is set to pen the project for the network.
As was previously reported, four prequels have been in development, although GOT scribe George R.R. Martin has previously revealed that a fifth was also in the works. While speaking on the author chosen to write the fifth prequel, Martin shared that other than himself and "Thrones" experts Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson, "I don't know anyone who knows and loves Westeros as well as he does."
The four writers who will write the prequels are KONG: SKULL ISLAND's Max Borenstein, KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE's Jane Goldman, LEGEND's Brian Helgeland and MAD MEN's Carly Wray. No further details have been revealed.Videos
