GAME OF THRONES Among Costume Designer Guild's 2014 Nominations; Full List Announced

Nominees for the 16th Costume Designers Guild Awards, which celebrate excellence in film, television and commercial costume design, were announced today. The CDG Awards ceremony, one of the most prestigious and well-respected entertainment industry awards season events, celebrates the spirit of collaboration between Costume Designers and Actors and Directors. The winners of the seven competitive awards will be revealed at the gala on Saturday, Feb.22at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Continuing its decade-long support of the Guild, LACOSTE is returning as Presenting Sponsor of the CDGA. LACOSTE has been featured in numerous films such as Last Vegas, The Heat, Bridesmaids and This Is 40, as well as television shows including Glee, House of Lies, The Newsroom, Pretty Little Liars and Royal Pains.

This year, acclaimed writer, producer and director, Judd Apatow will receive the Distinguished Collaborator Award in recognition of his support of Costume Design and creative partnerships with Costume Designers. An Honorary Career Achievement Award will be presented to Costume Designer April Ferry for her outstanding work in film and television.

"As Costume Designers we take great pride in seeing our work on the screen, bringing characters to life through costumes. The Costume Designers Guild would like to congratulate all of the nominees and we look forward to celebrating the art of Costume Design at our awards gala on February 22nd," said Salvador Perez Jr., President of the Costume Designers Guild Local #892.
