A new screenplay described as a cross between Avatar, E.T., and Lord of the Rings has recently been acquired by noted actor and producer Frankie Cassavetes , who is currently forming a production team.

The screenplay, written by Francis T. Perry Williams , promises to raise public awareness of the environmental crisis that threatens our society. Mr. Cassavetes describes the screenplay as groundbreaking, saying, "It's the best script I've read in years, a complete package that will have worldwide appeal."

Based on Williams' novel Pollen and the Ring of Harmony, the film will depict the story of Pollen, an interstellar traveler from the far reaches of space. Pollen has been dispatched to Earth in order to warn mankind of the potentially tragic ramifications of its eco-unfriendly behavior. Accompanying Pollen on his quest is a mysterious living ring with unimaginable powers akin to God like, which allows Pollen to serve as a noble "green" messiah.

In the wake of recent tragedies caused by gun violence, Cassavetes is proud of the film's lack of violent content. Excitement will instead be achieved by special effects and a good story. "Everyone will want to be a part of this, a real game changer. I want to change the world and this project will do it," states Cassavetes, who appeared in Peter Burg 's 2012 film, Battleship.

The novel version of Pollen and the Ring of Harmony is available on amazon.com.
